Potty training, here we come...

We've just started trying to put Kyler on the potty when it is very obvious that he is trying to poop. He gets performance anxiety and waits until the diaper is back on his bottom to relieve himself. I know it is a little bit early, but I am putting no pressure on him to do it but just trying to get him comfortable with sitting on the pot.
Any and all potty training advice is welcome!!! Wish us luck!

Oh the dreaded Potty training!!! We started potty training Isaac when he was 19 months old more out of his interest in it than mine to start him early. He was potty trained by 2 which was nice since Julia was born shortly after. My main bit of advice....(ok maybe two bits)

1. Consistency - I used a timer and would take the kids at regular intervals. The more times they are successful the faster they catch on.
2. Keep him in underwear as much as possible at home - he will get the full icky feelings and may start realizing on his own when he needs to go. It's messy at first but now is a great time to try it since you are home for the summer.

Oh yeah - and we used rewards in the beginning! Good luck!
